What’s happening Downtown this year?

Besides the many contests, events and promotions, Main Street Duncan, Inc. will be sponsoring:

Heritage Day

  • Heritage Day brings entertainment, exhibits, games, contests and a dance on the last Saturday in June. Catch a glimpse of Duncan’s heritage as downtown provides you with fun for the entire family!

Christmas Parade

  • Christmas time in Duncan would not be the same without a parade downtown. Kids, clubs, bands and organizations with floats all participate in the celebration of the holiday season. From "Mom and Pop" shops to national chain stores, downtown is a great place for families to finish their shopping and enjoy the friendliness of small-town atmosphere.

The Streetscape Project

  • The wear and tear on sidewalks has grown since the program began. Streetscape has removed existing sidewalks while updating the utilities and adding benches and trash receptacles for the public’s benefit. Downtown is the front door – the heart of the community.

Dehydrator Race

  • The Duncan Bicycle Club and Simmons Center co-sponsor the annual Dehydrator Race. Cyclists of all ages and skill levels are accommodated with 10-, 25-, 50- or 62-mile courses. This race, which covers terrain varying from hills to lakes, is great preparation for the August "Hotter-Than-Hell Race" in Wichita Falls, Texas.
